Topgun allstars and tumbling! This post is all about it! Everyone involved in the sport of cheerleading is familiar with the Topgun allstars, right? I thought so! I am so excited to share this with you. Recently I had the honor of interviewing Jack Kidney, a current member of the Topgun 005 cheerleading team on the Cheer.fm Podcast. I hand picked Jack as the Cheer.fm Feature Athlete of the month! On the podcast episode, we discuss how he got into the sport of cheer (shout out to Shawn Johnson!), what it’s like being a part of such a respected competitive team, and some tips on safe skill progression and physical and mental toughness in the sport!
Listen to the podcast (Session 003) on iTunes HERE or on the CFM Website Here.
Throughout the interview, I constantly mention that I will link in some videos of Jack’s skill because I want everyone to see the level of mad skill we’re talking about! — Warning! Your jaw’s about to drop! Checkout some of Jack’s insane skills below, and be sure to follow him on Instagram! His favorite pass he’s completed is at the bottom. “I love a good kick-whip!”
Some fun take aways and tips from my interview with Jack Kidney of Topgun Allstars 005:
Jack shares 3 things that are vital if you want to be a happy athlete:
- Always try to enjoy everything you’re doing at practice.
- It is just cheerleading – it’s not the end of the world.
- Go on the trampoline… because it’s great!
Can you give a big thank you to Jack for taking time out to share tips and insight with the Cheer.fm community? Like – Comment – or Share this post to show your thanks!
